The Scotiabank Calgary Marathon is thrilled to announce there is prize money up for grabs for top athlete performances in the Scotiabank Calgary Marathon. There are bonuses for athletes who break the course records and incremental bonuses based on the top female and male marathon times ran in Canada. The elite standards are tough and the competition is sure to be fierce. We look forward to cheering on all athletes on May 27, 2018.
All finishers will receive a finishing medal when they cross the finish line and will be able to download a finisher's certificate.
Marathon Course Record Bonus:
The male marathon course record on the current course was set in 2015 by Jonathon Chesoo (Eldoret, Kenya) with a time of 2:17:12
The female marathon course record on the current course was set in 2017 by Gladys Jepketchei Tarus (Eldoret, Kenya ) with a time of 2:42:13.
There is a $1,000 bonus prize for the top female and male finishers to break the respective records.
The following bonuses are based on the respective Canadian Marathon Records.

Gun Time is the OFFICIAL time. All awards and finishing positions are based on the time from the start of the race (GUN) to when you cross the finish line as per IAAF, Athletics Canada and AB Athletics standards.
To ensure excellence of the championship races, elite runners may be subject to drug testing. Athletes having positive drug test results will have their cases investigated and CMS reserves the right to withhold any and all prize money until any such investigation has been completed.
