Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre

Vision:
The needs of people who are homeless or at risk are met in a respectful, comprehensive and safe way.

Mission:
To prevent homelessness where possible, offer care and shelter when needed, and provide opportunities for people to rehabilitate and rebuild their lives.

The "DI" has the capacity to shelter 1,250 individuals a night and provides three levels of housing: emergency beds, short term and long term supported housing and affordable housing. As a 24/7/365 operation, we provide wrap-around services to over 8,500 people a year. In an age where marginalized Calgarians have few resources to fall back on, the DI is Calgary's only one-stop resource for low income and homeless Calgarians to access vital services and meaningful support to assist them in finding what they need to live, learn and thrive. From food and shelter to job skills and computer training, arts programming, counseling, medical services, affordable housing, seniors supported living and more, the DI delivers essential support that feeds the bodies, minds and spirits of people in need; essential support that gives them a community of belonging as they rebuild their lives and essential support that saves taxpayer dollars.

For 50 years the DI has addressed the urgent critical social issue of the health and well-being of the homeless and is committed to helping men and women in need - for another 50 years.
