Nurturing running talent at The U of C - GO DINOS!

The Dino Dash was conceived in 2004 by two University of Calgary Students as a way to increase funding for the University of Calgary's Dinos cross-country and track & field teams. $50,000 has been contributed to help provide scholarships, competition opportunities and uniforms. It is a great success, back to school community event and it continues to grow under the Calgary Marathon Society. Go Dinos!

Gorilla Run

Gorilla Run

Sunday, October 2nd 2016 - 8:00 AM

Gorilla Run, now in its 13th year, was established in 2004 to raise funds for Mountain Gorillas and other endangered species.

Over the last 12 years the race/relay has donated close to $100,000 dollars to wild animals threatened with extinction, with funds sent to the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International, the Bonobo Conservation Initiative, and many more.

We would like to continue supporting animal conservation which has been made possible by the fantastic donations from sponsors and of course continued support from the Calgary running community.

Please join us again to run through the zoo on Sunday October 2nd – 8am, for the annual ‘Race For Conservation’!

Start the race/relay running through the Zoo, and return for the Post Race Ceremony at the Kitamba Cafe inside the grounds for medals, prizes and more.
